The Merkenveld is a forest and recreation area in the West Flanders municipality of Zedelgem, located within the territories of Zedelgem, Veldegem, and primarily Loppem. It is situated directly east of the hamlet of De Leeuw.
The Merkenveld adjoins the domain of Kasteel Baesveld, private forests, and the nature reserve Doeveren, bringing the total area to approximately 110 hectares. The Merkenveld, which covers over 18 hectares, was purchased by the municipality of Zedelgem in the 1980s and has since been known as the Municipal Domain of Merkenveld. The area is traversed by the Kerkebeek.
