This cemetery is located further from the church than usual. That is because after the Second World War, the church was re-built in its current location. The tree of liberty, a linden, has been in the square in front of the cemetery since 1920.
In the cemetery, 'only' four casualties of WWI are buried there. The three cousins Kervyn are buried under one monument, right behind the big Calvary cross. René Roegiers is buried in the honorary park along with the veterans.
This is also the place where you will find a hero homage cross. Elisa Goedemé is not a war victim, but the wife of Joe English, who designed this particular headstone.
