This plant looks impressive and beautiful. But actually, he doesn't belong here. In the 19th century, giant hogweed from Southwest Asia was introduced to Europe as a garden plant and has become fully established here. Due to the harmful effect of the sap of this plant on skin and eyes, it is increasingly experienced as a problem. Since 2 August 2017, all countries of the European Union have made it mandatory to control the plant and to prohibit its trade.
