Green manure in June. The blue phacelia and the yellow mustard give an attractive aspect to the fields that need to rest for a while. Green manure is the cultivation of plants on a piece of land and then ploughing it under. This results in more organic matter in the soil and the nitrogen content also increases. This organic matter is converted into humus in the soil. Green manure also collects the excess fertilizer. The soil structure is improved and soil erosion is prevented. In addition, the flowers are often attractive to bees.
