Timeless Waves (Žilvinas Stasiulevicius)

Five large swings restore the relationship between humans,
landscape, past, and present in a playful way. The canvases
in which you swing refer to
the golden flax past of the region
and to the sails of the merchant ships.
The swinging itself evokes
pleasant childhood memories and reminds
of the bobbing of the boats
and the flow of the river. The surreal
image of Timeless Waves gives
the Leie landscape dynamism. The swings
invite, timelessly swaying on the
waves in seas of flax and grass.
