In the Lambrechtsbos, surrounded by greenery, lies the beautiful Lambertus Chapel, which dates from around 1600. As early as 1618, a deanery report mentioned this chapel "with a thatched roof" where 2,000 pilgrims had been the year before. The Lambertus Chapel was restored in 1907 and refreshed in 1948. Also in 1992 it was taken care of, this time by the André Cieters family, in memory of their son and brother E.H. E. Cieters. The interior includes a statue of St. Lambert on the altar. On Easter Monday, a mass is celebrated here and an animal consecration takes place. Next to the large chapel is a statue of Our Lady in a small stone chapel and hidden at the bottom of the stairs is even the masonry well in which you can draw 'Saint Lambert's water'. The Holy One protects against fever, lameness and other ailments....
