In the centre of the village of Zonnegem lies the former Rubbens Brewery, once a flourishing rural beer producer, the bustling heart of the village, now a protected monument consisting of a group of characterful buildings around an impressive courtyard. At the centre of it all is the imposing brewing hall, flanked by the theatre tower and the malt house, a setting that lends itself beautifully to small-scale events. The non-profit organisation Oude Brouwerij van Zonnegem is an initiative to bring the special appearance of this complex back to life. The non-profit organisation occasionally organises a cosy event in the courtyard.
