The respite care house 'Villa Indigo' is a peaceful place where children are welcomed who suffer from illnesses that require significant care and whose diagnosis is often uncertain.
From the moment the diagnosis of a serious condition is heard, a child's illness has a profound impact on their environment, their family, and loved ones. This affects them psychologically, physically, socially, and spiritually. A real struggle begins for both the parents and the child. The illness demands total commitment, often both day and night, and sometimes for the entire life of the child. This situation affects the life of the couple and the entire family, and more specifically the lives of siblings.
Villa Indigo was established to offer all these families the opportunity to take a moment of respite, to catch their breath and find some peace for a few days. A moment when they can think of themselves for a while and live at a different pace, or invest a bit more time in the rest of the family.
The entire team at Villa Indigo is happy to provide these moments to the parents while simultaneously caring for their sick child with warmth and love. This service is available all year round, and we can accommodate each child for 32 days a year.
