Along Billegem you pass on your left the former tenant farm of the monastery of Tussenbeke, also known as "Pierens Hof". This tenant farm was located on the former avenue that led to the disappeared monastery and is now cut by the Ghent-Brussels railway line. After the dissolution of the monastery in 1783, the farm was sold to Frans De Naeyer, a rentier from Ghent. Later she was sold to the Uyttendaele family.
