St. Stephen's Church, picturesquely situated with a surrounding cemetery and planted on a small hill, is built in Brabant Gothic. It has been a protected monument since 1948. The current church was founded by the Norbertines of Grimbergen in the 17th century, but already in the 11th century it was a villa church belonging to the lord of a large farm that still connects to the church and cemetery. The exterior was restored between 2012 and 2014. The interior restoration was halted halfway through due to the discovery of medieval wall paintings hidden behind a layer of plaster. Further restoration is under study.
