Castle of IJse (castle Isque). New plans

A new public park 

In the Land Development Plan (LIP) IJsevallei of November 2018, the Flemish Land Agency proposes to carry out important environmental works on the castle domain. This plan is now being implemented. For example, the water of the current fish pond is released and transformed into an ecological pond. The access road along the pond to the castle will also be restored and new lime trees will be planted on both sides. In the plan, a new entrance is planned along the Waverse Steenweg. The park will be open to the public with new walking paths and a bike path. The IJse along the Dreef will also be partially reopened.

The school building in the park is demolished and there will be passing by the Stafh. Brafffortlaan new buildings. The school will also be allocated its own part of the park.
