Lindel is a hamlet in the Belgian province of Limburg. It is located in Overpelt, south of the village center. Together with the hamlet of Hoeven, it forms Lindelhoeven.
The area around Lindel has been inhabited for a long time. This is evidenced by the findings of prehistoric urns and the presence of prehistoric burial mounds. A Merovingian burial site has also been discovered. The current Lindel is believed to date back to the Merovingian period, and it is claimed that Willibrordus founded a chapel there and in 726 donated his possessions there to the Abbey of Echternach.
