Putte is a border village in the Kempen region, partly located in the Dutch municipality of Woensdrecht, and partly in the Belgian municipalities of Stabroek and Kapellen. The village is thus situated in two countries and three municipalities. The Woensdrecht part of Putte has 3,785 inhabitants. Until January 1, 1997, Putte was an independent municipality; after that date, it merged into the municipality of Woensdrecht.
