Dongelberg Castle, located in Jodoigne, Belgium, belonged to the Dongelberg family until 1305. Then it fell to Jean Meeuwe, half-brother of Duke John II of Brabant who developed the lordship, becoming a chief town of town hall of the Brabant.Si the lords of Dongelberg are mentioned from the beginning of the thirteenth century, a first castle is mentioned in 1495. An engraving describes the state of the domain. A dungeon dominated the whole; The church and cemetery were next to the outbuildings of the castle.
