The Royal Athenaeum Victor Horta is an establishment of primary and secondary education located in Saint-Gilles and Forest. Founded in 1880, it has borne this name since 1996. The school should not be confused with the Victor Horta Technical Athenaeum in Evere.
The athenaeum, which has carried this name since September 1, 1996, is the heir to different schools that existed in the territories of the municipalities of Saint-Gilles and Forest: 'Saint-Gilles Boys' Middle School', 'Saint-Gilles Girls' Middle School', 'Saint-Gilles Municipal Athenaeum', 'Arthur Diederich Municipal High School of Saint-Gilles', 'Royal Athenaeum of Saint-Gilles', 'Royal High School of Saint-Gilles', 'Royal Athenaeum of Saint-Gilles', 'Royal Athenaeum Paul Delvaux of Saint-Gilles', 'O. Denis School Group' of Forest and 'Royal Athenaeum of Forest'.
