The Sint-Godelievekerk is located on Honzebroekstraat. After World War II, Roeselare expanded significantly to the north. In 1964, a temporary church was put into use, which was replaced by the permanent church building in 1981. The H. Godelievekerk was designed by the Roeselare architectural firm Buro I and II (H. Vermoortel). The shape of the church refers to 'the tent of meeting' (Ex. 36-40,2). The large roof is supported on the sides by 4 pillars on the left and 4 pillars on the right. They symbolize the 4 evangelists and the patriarchs, bearers of the church.
