In a multicultural city like Verviers, the values of tolerance, respect, solidarity, and responsibility are also promoted here.
The fresco dates back to 1996, a few years after the homework school was established. It was created by the Verviers artist and illustrator Jean Lequeu (1948 – 2017) in a playful, cheerful, and dynamic style, very accessible for children. As a young boy, Lequeu attended the former municipal boys' school here.
