The 8-hectare Malou Park is the oldest and largest park in the municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. It dates back to 1774, when it was created on marshland and the banks of the Struybeek stream. Its gardens were first created in the French style before being given an English look and feel. The Neoclassical Château Malou, a castle from the same period, was the residence of the Belgian Prime Minister Jules Malou in the mid-19th century. Sold by his heirs to the municipality in 1950 and restored twenty years later, the castle now hosts various types of receptions, seminars and other cultural activities.
