Chapel: restoration of the stained glass windows with the addition of the municipal coat of arms.
The Kympers-Pauwels studio consists of Rita Pauwels and Bart Kympers.
Rita obtained her A1 diploma in “Monumental Arts, specialization in glass” at Sint Lucas in Ghent after her secondary education in the plastic arts. She took her first steps in restoration in the studio of Willem Suys and refined her skills through workshops and glass painting courses led by Patrick Dejaegher in Antwerp.
She is responsible for the artistic part and takes care of the glass painting work.
Bart, after his secondary education in interior design, attended a training program for cabinetmaking and general woodworking, and received his training in the craft of glazier/restorer as a site assistant in the studio of Willem Suys.
Together they started their studio at the beginning of 1991 and can now rely on extensive knowledge regarding both stained glass windows and their framing, gained through their years of practical experience.
