More than 100 springs in Brussels !
This source is located in the Josaphat Park and feeds the Roodebeek (also called the Josaphat Brook), a tributary of Maelbeek. Originally, the Minneborre was called Rinneborre (= living spring). The oldest mention dates back to 1350 and it is only in the middle of the 19th century that the name Minneborre appears. It gave rise to all kinds of romantic legends. (Source : Hans Welens)
