More than 100 springs in Brussels!
"In 1843, Mgr. Pecci, as a young apostolic nuncio in Brussels, visited the congregation of the Ladies of the Sacred Heart. He took a walk through the woods and drank from the spring that springs up not far from the entrance at the corner of Abdij van Dielegemstraat and Liebrechtlaan. Thirty-five years later, the nuncio became pope under the name Leo XIII. In memory of his visit, the sisters named the spring after the famous church father. For safety reasons, the spring is now closed, but it still flows and the water runs beneath the concrete." (Source: Leefmilieu Brussel)
