The end of the Pedevijver is actually a sedimentation basin that was built in 2009: the dike in the basin stops the sediments supplied by the stream and thus prevents the pond from silting up. The artificially created islet is a popular stopping place for birds and amphibians. Continue walking along the water, until you reach a road. To the left is the so-called Ketelhoeve. It will be renovated into a centre for sustainable food, as part of the BoerenBruxselPaysans project. The soil for the farm is now cultivated by organic gardeners
