Part of this large fen "de Putse Moer" is still in private hands, but is part of Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide. As the name suggests, peat was also cut here in the past and this fen owes its existence largely to this. Rare plants such as sundew and white and brown beak rushes grow on the edges of the fen.
