This castle was formerly a farm. In the early 20th century, it was converted into a castle by Clément Peten, a member of parliament and mayor of Velm. Later, the castle was sold to the Sisters of Charity who established a school with a boarding facility there.
In 2005, the castle was purchased by a property developer. Since then, the castle has been part of a residential care site. Inside the castle, there is a brasserie with a hotel.
