This building from 1722 dates back to the period when the canonesses had the upper hand in Andenne and even administered justice. The style is classicist. You can easily recognize this by the Ionic columns and the triangular pediment. As was customary at the time, the façade was covered with plaster. Above the slate roof, you see a beautiful hexagonal turret. Two dungeons in the basement still testify to the power of the religious. After the dissolution of the religious order in the French period, the building has held various functions, including that of town hall until 1922, when the municipal services moved to the Place des Tilleuls.
After recent restoration, the building was inaugurated in 2017 as the Maison des Associations, the House of Associations. Here, numerous associations from Andenne find the infrastructure to meet, hold conferences, or display exhibitions.
