The School of Veterinary Medicine Anderlecht is a site located in the Kuregem neighborhood that was built between 1903 and 1909 in Flemish neo-Renaissance style, where the training in veterinary medicine, then known as the École d'économie rurale et vétérinaire, was accommodated. The whole consists of 19 buildings, separated by courtyards and gardens.
Since 1969, the training has been taken over by the University of Liège and in 1991, the site was definitively abandoned by the university, after which the 2400 m² complex stood vacant. In 1990, the veterinary school received protected status and in 1999 the municipality became the owner.
At the beginning of the 21st century, the re-evaluation began. Currently, part of the closed complex has been renovated and now houses apartments and small offices (wikipedia, n.d.).
