Description

Begijnendijk is a municipality that responds to the need for a quiet rural and affordable habitation, not far from the possibilities of a city. In 2003-2005, Vlaanderen Bouw had 12 single-family homes built next to the mill. The design is by the architectural firm BOB 361 from Brussels. Although the surface area of the houses is only 100m2 due to the cost, this space has been used efficiently: well-thought-out orientation of the houses with optimal light, as much privacy as possible, gardens that are directly involved in the living space through large windows and maximum accessibility through a network of footpaths.
