When you leave the Gelroodsesteenweg and step back into the meadows, you will probably be amazed by the large Canadian poplar that stands here. A little further on, you walk along an overgrown hedge with an exceptional wealth of shrubs that offer a beautiful blooming sight, especially in June: hawthorn, Guelder rose, rowan, Spanish maple, dogwood, dog rose, ...
A little further you walk along the Betecombroecstraat, neighborhood road no. 34, which ran from the village to the fields and meadows. Today you mostly see corn here.
