Enjoy Park Fort Liezele, the green oasis near the heart of Puurs. Jump right into action as soon as you enter the park: a skating track, fit-o-metre course and Finnish running path await you. Snuggle up a little further in catering establishments Broox or Fortcafé De Batterie. The water playground brings refreshment during hot days. Are you going deeper into the park? You can enjoy a picnic along the water channel or the skating pond. Are you passionate about history? Then be sure to visit Fort Liezele. Fort Liezele is the best-preserved and most complete fort of the Antwerp Fortress Belt. Until 1979, this fortification was a military domain. In 2021 it will be completely renovated, to reopen its doors to the public from spring 2022. Would you like it to be a little more muddy and are you up for an adventure? Be sure to try the barefoot path.
