Brussels-Kapellekerk Station is a railway stop in the Brussels neighborhood of Marollen. The station is located on the north-south train connection. Kapellekerk Station is situated above ground, right before the entrance to the tunnel of the north-south connection, and is named after the Kapellekerk, which is located right next to the station (wikipedia, n.d.).
Although the station is located on the busiest railway line in Belgium, Kapellekerk has a limited service: only one S1 train (Antwerp-Brussels-Nivelles) per hour serves the station on weekdays. After 8 PM, the stop is no longer served. No trains stop here either on weekends or during school holidays.
Due to the rampant graffiti, the lack of supervision, and the limited train service, the station is not very attractive for travelers. The walls are regularly repainted to cover the graffiti. However, it usually doesn't take long before graffiti reappears (wikipedia, n.d.).
