When Overslag was founded, a church was erected, where there had previously been an emergency chapel. The church was consecrated in 1712 and is dedicated to the Nativity of Our Lady. In the 2nd half of the 19th century it was expanded. Around the church there is a courtyard wall containing 7 chapels of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows. Since 2019, the church has been deconsecrated and the population of Overslag was involved through all kinds of projects to find a new function for this church.
