Vlaamse Landmaatschappij (VLM) buys agricultural land in the Flemish part of the Vogelzangbeek valle

In 2019, the VLM was able to buy a fairly large contiguous piece of agricultural land on the Flemish bank of the Vogelzangbeek (opposite the Erasmus hospital site). With this strategically important purchase, these lands were first of all prevented from ending up in the 'wrong' hands, but they also offer enormous potential to achieve many objectives: local food supply, provision of wider buffer strips next to the watercourse which helps in managing the quality and quantity of the water, nature connection, hydromorphological and self-purifying restoration of the watercourse, recreation, using this zone as a cooling element for Brussels in the fight against global warming, etc... There is no doubt that interesting projects will be created here.
