The ‘Belvedere’ and the ‘rotating rock’

On an excellent rock, known as the ‘ela tournante roch’, stands the elegant little building of the ‘Belvédère’. The construction is typically 19th century: a wooden roof supported by cast-iron columns and freshly painted in red and white. It was established around 1900 in a general trend of emerging tourism by the local ‘Société d’embellissement’.

What should be a beautiful panorama of the city is ruined by the tall trees that obstruct the view.
