Making the world more beautiful and creating an atmosphere with flowers and plants, that has been Geert Pattyn's ultimate goal for more than 30 years. In the spacious and light-filled studio on the farm in Geluwe where he grew up, Geert finds space and inspiration to prepare and carry out large and small assignments on a daily basis. Geert specializes in occasional work. Together with his team, he decorates prestigious events, fairs, gourmet restaurants, shop windows, but also traditional events such as weddings, garden parties and birthday parties at home and abroad… He is a master at decorating spaces and creating moods. It's amazing how the power of space still seems to increase through his fabulous creations. But every day he also binds bouquets in different styles and makes table decorations and mourning creations with a personal touch. Geert was one of the founders of the floral magazine Fleur Creatief and his floral designs also feature in his own publications. He now has five books and a birthday calendar to his credit. Fashion, design, art, gastronomy are sources of inspiration, but nature is and remains his main source of nutrition and everything in his work is at the service of the flowers. The great thing about his job, Geert, is the variety. “I think not only the different assignments that I do, but also the changing of the seasons is very beautiful. In the fall I work a lot with branches and fruits. In the spring, the bulbs and spring bloomers will come again.” His style can be described as pure, simple and natural.
