Notre Dame de Buhan Chapel

The chapel dedicated to Notre-Dame de Walcourt was built in 1880 by a private individual from Noirefontaine in thanks for a grace received. It lies in the shade of bicentennial linden trees.

This venerated and respected place of meditation is located at the crossroads of the road from Bouillon to Noirefontaine ( the ancient path of the dead , through which the funeral processions passed to reach Sensenruth when this church served by the monks of Saint-Hubert , served ) . as the parish church of Bouillon) and the road from Bouillon to Dohan , passing the Han-du-Han ford, and also the road from Bouillon to Les Hayons, passing the Moulin Hideux, at the time when it was a flour mill and not a reputable hotel like now.

The path that starts south of the chapel leads past the Buhan farm to the Buhan peninsula and crosses the Semois at the Leauwez ford.

The old Bouillonais call it "the chapel of Dohan", which the inhabitants of Noirefontaine do not like. In terms of tourism, it is also called "Buhan Chapel".

This charming little chapel, on the edge of the Noirefontaine forest , is located at the top of the Hasay du Han-du-Han slope , a memento of Le Pasay du Han-du-Han; a path created in 1977 thanks to subsidies from Eaux et Forêts and tourism without forgetting the province.

It is a recognized place of meditation.

A bench between two linden trees welcomes hikers looking for a second breather at the end of the almost 1 km climb from the Han ford.
