The Château de la Tourette used to be called Château de l'Escaille, after the name of its buyers. The original name of Rabais dates back to 1440, as a stronghold of the Duchy of Brabant. The buildings burned down in 1690 and were rebuilt with difficulty.
Around the square courtyard, the core of the buildings dates from the 16th and 17th centuries.
The house was built at the beginning of the 18th century. It is a low brick house on a chamfered plinth in matching rubble stone. The outbuilding was built in rubble stone. The strong square brick tower (17th century?) is striking.
