Little suggests that industrial history as well as television and music history were written in this not so attractive building. Engineer Edmond Thumas founded the world-famous Marie Thumas canning company here together with his wife Marie Durieux. Later, in 1980, the megadacing Manhattan came here. And that then became a television studio where Willy Sommers presented "Ten to See"; But 'Thuis' with Simonneke and Frank Bomans was also recorded here. Jeroen Meus also ended up here with his restaurant.
