This well on the route de Coo à Parfondruy is a silent witness to how rich this area is.
Although this place is not yet the highest point - further up to Renardmont and Ster the road still rises quite a bit - there is an astonishing view of the valley of the Amblève which flows here between Stavelot and Trois-ponts. The Amblève makes some meanders here.
Across the street, on top of the hill, is Wanne. Wanne is known for its ski slope 'Val de Wanne', where there are also many other activities when there is no snow.
During the Battle of the Bulge, on December 19, 1944, Parfondruy was the scene of a massacre of villagers. 24 people were shot dead by German troops in a machine gun shed. Alone, a young 2-year-old child escaped unharmed from this massacre. The hamlet had only 50 people. A little further there is a war memorial.
