Residents of Belsele call them Clock Lappers. The folk legend tells that the clock in Belsele was broken. One day a bell repairman came to the village claiming he could fix the clock. He needed “clock food of gold and silver” to achieve a perfect sound. The Belsele residents brought gold and silver so he could start quickly. But the next day, the clock repairman had disappeared.
