This farm undoubtedly existed in the 16th century.
The Lordship of Coubrouck is mentioned as early as the 12th century. At that time, different dominions held power in administrative matters. The most important were the Hof van Ruddervoorde, Coubrouck, the Houtschen and the Lordship of Gentbrugge.
The Coubrouck manor house was south-east of the church and was probably the oldest , arising from an early medieval agricultural estate (cf. Koebroekdreef).
There is a front door, a house and a barn. The walls and old trees show the splendor of bygone times.
A cow pant is a wide sling for carrying cattle.
