Description

In 1758 , the Parc de Sept Heures was created as a public walking place (promenade) .

This park is located in the center of Spa.

There are numerous monuments: that of the Armistice , donated in 1925 by Major CE Radcliffe, honorary citizen of the city of Spa; that of the great composer Meyerbeer, who regularly came here from 1829 to 1860 to seek inspiration; that of Jean d'Ardenne , writer and poet, born in Spa and unparalleled promoter of our region. And then there is the Monument Gridelet, the memorial stone of the Old Colonials ; that of the 1st Lancers , that of the Founders of the Hiking Trails and when you leave the park the monument of Marshal Foch . After the First World War he regularly stayed in Spa. He held talks with the German Plenipotentiary Minister Erzberger.
