This bench is located at the crocheted water reservoir Pépé in the village of Laforêt.
Laforêt is a thousand -year-old city known as one of the most beautiful cities in Wallonia. It's worth more than the visit.
Two troughs , large circular basins surrounded by iron, seem to stand sentinel at the ends of the village, which is dotted with sheds for drying tobacco . The lower trough borders a strangely covered well.
You'll find a church with an oddly colored ceiling and a modern Station of the Cross by Jacques Vander Elst, an artist from Vresse-sur-Semois.
An 1880s forge with a roof covered in "Faisiaux" - slate bases too small to make regular slates but requiring a strong framework.
Laforêt is also famous for its famous "Pont de Claies" over the Semois. This rustic bridge at the ford of Grand I island is made up of slabs braided from carp branches and placed on fragile piers in the riverbed. It is only used during the low tide season, so it is rebuilt every spring and dismantled at the end of summer. Currently hikers can walk along the right bank of the river and thus reach Vresse on foot.
To immerse yourself in the soul of the Ardennes, you can stroll along the Promenade des Légendes , a 2 km circular route in the Laforêt forest. All characters from the legendary stories of the region will accompany you. It starts with the Wild Hunter painted on the door of Pinocchio's workshop, a puppet show. You will meet the White Lady , the Verbouc, the Werewolf. You will meet nutons, witches and fairies. Finally, Pepe Crochet will end your walk narrated in didactic panels that will mark your immersion in the foreign and the dream.
Visit the spice shop and brasserie 'Le Serpolet'.
Ascent to the viewpoint 'le Griolou'.
Take a look inside the old laundry room with fountain and trough.
