The establishment has been around since the mid 1800's! It is the soul of the Ardennes village.

The "Café Lallemand", almost as old as Belgium, is an institution in Gros-Fays (Bièvre), one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia. The establishment's origins date back to the mid-19th century. It was opened in the 19th century. The Lallemand family has run it from father to son.

The clientele includes regulars, but also many tourists passing through, some of whom also become regulars over time.

For the tourists who regularly come to the area, a drink in "Café Lallemand" has become a tradition over time. For the villagers, Sunday morning is a time to gather.
There are few if any modern touches in this cafe. From the furniture to the decoration, everything is old and seems to have stood the test of time. The owner is happy with this choice:

The charm of this café is its typical side, in which there is no modernity to be found. You will not see a screen here. Because where there is a screen, there is no conversation.

Café Lallemand has retained its authenticity over time and generations, with no frills, no frills. And if the walls could talk, they would certainly have a lot to say.
