This is a neglected cave , indicated on the maps as cave ND de Lourdes.
The cave is located at the end of an access road about 20 m long, with 6 columns of quartz stones on each side. Paul Manil says that on 24/11/1950 he saw an apparition of the Virgin Mary there, who cured his wife of neurasthenia and rheumatism. Out of gratitude , he spent 2 years building this cave with his horse at the end of the 1950s.
It consists of a small building with a gable roof and a base of 6 m on the ground and a maximum height of 3 m, made of white quartz stones.
Inside, in a 5 m deep cavity there is an altar with a lower part of masonry stones and a rudimentary wooden altar table. At the front of the grotto, in the upper left corner, a large statue of Our Lady of Lourdes was located in a niche . This has now disappeared and been replaced by a smaller copy.
There is a cross in memory of Mrs. Colette DE CONINCK who died in Profondeville on September 17, 2015 at the age of 85 years.
