This 1.30 ha area, created from part of a former brick kiln site, is located in the center of Anzegem, adjacent to the residential area of the same name. After the brick kilns were closed, the entire site became the property of the municipality. The original clay pits had to be filled with … waste. Once everything was filled up, a layer of earth was thrown on top, and a rough rush was formed. A rush is a dense vegetation of tall, often perennial, herbaceous plants with a high production of biomass.
An enthusiastic neighbor took care of the area, now 45 years ago.
Directly oriented to the south, bordered by all kinds of trees and shrubs, there is a real microclimate.
