Description

This traffic sign is a remnant of World War II and is located on Alexandre Daoust Street.

It is an example of how the US military police set up traffic signals for the movement of troops and tanks in 1944.

Dinant was liberated by the Americans on September 7, 1944. The city had been in German hands since Erwin Rommel invaded in May 1940.
