This baroque church (fairly rare in the Ardennes ) was built in 1614 on the site of an old chapel from 1139 . Inside you can see colorful drawings on the walls and ceiling , work by Cavilot from 1905 to 1907.
Saint Firminus is a third-century person. Firminus himself is said to have been such a talented preacher that he is said to have converted 3,000 people in one day . He was eventually captured by the Romans and is said to have been beheaded on September 25, 303.
The miracles of Saint Firmin are described in the Vita , but especially in the scenes carved on the choir banister of Amiens Cathedral. Saint Firmin heals a cripple, a leper, the blind chaste, a fever patient and a demoniac.
