Around the year 645 , Monon de Nassogne, a hermit monk from Scotland, was killed and beheaded in the forests of the Ardennes, where he had settled at the call of an angel of the Lord. His remains were deposited in an oratory, which soon became a place of pilgrimage . Miracles have happened since then!

Saint-Monon is the protector of farmers, livestock, and crops. We thank him for watching over the farm where Saint-Monon, barley, malt, hops, bees and beehives are produced, as well as the nature that surrounds us.

Today there are also beers that bear the Saint-Monon name.
