This picnic area is located just outside Hotton at a spacious parking lot. Nearby there is a Commonwealth War cemetary for the second world war, where 670 dead are buried.
The parking is also just before the entrance to the caves of Hotton, a little further on the left ( Les Grottes NL – Grottes de Hotton ).
Real jewel of the Belgian Ardennes, the Caves of Hotton are recognized as an exceptional natural heritage of Wallonia and are the only ones to be classified in their entirety. Nicknamed "Caves of 1001 Nights", the caves were discovered in 1958. You descend to 65 meters below the ground, the level of the river.
