This park with a picnic area and fitness equipment is located on rue Emile Parfonry as you approach Hotton from Marche-en-Famenne.
Emile Parfonry was born in Hotton in 1857 and became a lieutenant in the army. He moved to the Congo, where he was responsible, among other things, for the construction of roads in the south. He also died there in 1883, having gone mad at seeing his roommate commit suicide with a revolver.
Best known for its 1001 Nights Caves, Hotton has much more to offer. There is for example its rich history with WWII and the Commonwealth War Cemetery, the old Panzerdom, the old tram route 620 which has now become a pre-RAVel with an old tram as decoration, but not forgetting the Ourthe. along which beautiful lawns with a kiosk, the old Faber mill , etc. are laid out.
